LOOKING AHEAD
ext week we get a small break from our hectic schedule the past two weeks. With the days off for students, we will not have practice on Thursday, October 5th or Monday October 9th. We do have a football game on Friday, October 6th. We will have a report time of 3:30 in the stadium to do a quick review and run-through of our performances that night. We will return to the cafeteria for our typical band dinner at 5pm and prepare to march into the stadium as usual. Thanks for addressing these times in your schedules. We are aware of a few excused absences for next weekend, any new absence notification at this point is too late to be excused. We look forward to spending our Friday together next week.

8TH GRADE NIGHT
Thanks to the leadership and current students for making our 8th grade band members feel so welcome and ensuring they all had a good time. I am confident we made lasting impressions and we will work to continue to follow-up with our future members throughout the school year!!

HOMECOMING UPDATE
I am sure you are all aware, homecoming weekend was rescheduled for October 20-21. This was helpful for FCE, but now falls on our scheduled contest at St. Pius on 10/21. We have a couple of proposed compromises and opportunities that are being discussed with band members by our leadership - there will be a follow-up email very soon with an important update for the upcoming conflict with the homecoming change. Thanks for your patience and understanding - this will be addressed this week!

As always - thanks for all you do for the Cambridge Bands!!
