Hello Marching Band Parents & Students,

This is a reminder of our upcoming mandatory Parent Meeting this Sunday, July 15 at 6:30pm in the Cambridge Auditorium. We need at least one representative from each household to attend so that you can receive important information about band camp and the upcoming season.

Donations Needed

We are in need of donations to help us run band camp, and Sunday is a great time to bring those items in! We need cases of bottled water and cases of individually packaged snacks (rice krispie treats, chips, pretzels, granola bars, etc.). Anything you can contribute is much appreciated!

What to Turn In

At this meeting, all forms and payments for marching band are due if you have not already submitted them. This includes the following:

• Membership Agreement
• Emergency Medical form
• Parent driver's license and insurance copy
• Physical form

If you are unsure about what you still need to submit, please reference your student's Charms account in the Handouts & Files/Forms section, and the Finances section.

Pick up Apparel Items

Also at this meeting you will be able to pick up show shirts, under uniform items, marching shoes, and colorguard sports bags that you have ordered and paid for. Any unpaid orders will not be distributed - but you will have the chance to pay for them after the meeting if needed. (Parent polos, sweatshirts, and other guard items are delayed and will be received within the next few weeks.)

STUDENT REMINDERS FOR CAMP

• EVERY STUDENT will need their own WATER BOTTLE for camp! We suggest at least a half-gallon capacity.
• Bring your instrument, instrument accessories (mouthpiece, reeds, etc), pencil and binder/folder for music.
• Begin acclimating to the hot and humid weather - spend at least 30-60 minutes being active outside.
• Start Hydrating NOW! Drink at least 8 glasses of water each day. You will thank us later :)
• Wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes at all times during camp - no jeans, no sandals.

Florida Competition Trip ...Will be discussed in more detail at the meeting!
