SENIOR NIGHT

Next Friday is our senior recognition night. We will march to the stadium a bit early to recognize all of our seniors during pregame. The band will play the Alma Mater and Star Spangled Banner from the stands on Senior Night (and dedicate the Alma Mater to our seniors). Seniors and parents of seniors remember I need the senior script form returned and we will meet you on the track at 6:30PM. Very excited - but also a bit stunned it’s already time to recognize our seniors! Thanks for one last week of four amazing years!!!

FRIDAY TIMELINE

3:30 - Change into under-uniform
3:45 - Report to Sections
4:15 - Juniors report to Cafeteria for dinner
- Rest report to band room
4:30 - Underclassmen dismissed to dinner
4:40 - Seniors dismissed to auditorium lobby for senior dinner
5:45 - Half-uniform
6:00 - Courtyard
6:25 - March to Stadium
6:45 - Band Senior Recognition

SPRAYBERRY CONTEST

This is a long-standing competition in Georgia - always has a great reputation and is well-attended. We are excited for this FINAL competition experience for our students. Below is a preliminary timeline - this may yet be slightly adjusted and is just a preliminary schedule.
11:30 AM - Rehearsal
1:30 PM - Load Truck
2:15 - Late Lunch served at Cambridge (provided)
3:15 - Depart for Sprayberry
5:15 - Warmup
6:15 - PERFORMANCE
7:00 - Time to visit concessions ($$)
8:30 - Awards
10:00 - Return to Cambridge

JAZZ AUDITIONS

If you are interested in auditioning for jazz bands at Cambridge - the audition material has been available for weeks - but we will be holding the auditions on Tuesday and Wednesday during classes. Hope to listen to many of your auditions!! Thanks and good luck!!

UPCOMING WEEKS

Our calendar has been updated to reflect one small change. We are going to have only one rehearsal each of the last two weeks of the season. One on Tuesday, October 23rd and one on Thursday, November 1st. We have a bye-week Friday, October 26th - and our final football game is at Alpharetta on November 2nd. Thanks for taking note of these updates to our final weeks of marching band!
