DONATIONS FOR WATER AND SNACKS

Parents – we always collect water bottles (16.9 oz) and our traditional Rice Krispy treats for our performance snacks and hydration during the game. If you would be so kind to consider donating one or both of these items (also enjoy granola bars, etc) it would be most appreciated. Items can be dropped off at the band room before or after practice on Tuesday and Thursday. It takes almost 300 bottles of water to hydrate our students during a single performance so your assistance is MUCH appreciated.

TIP – Costco can be a great place to grab both the water and Rice Krispy Treats for a great bulk price!

EL-AZTECA FRIDAY HOME GAMES

One of our new large corporate sponsors is El-Azteca – they are staying open later on Fridays of home games to accommodate bear fans (especially the band family) and it would be great to show them our appreciation for their support this season by patronizing them the first home game!! Hope to see you there after the game.

LOOKING AHEAD

Next Thursday (August 29th) is our open house at Cambridge. Due to this – we will not be on the parking lot after school. This is why we are practicing in the stadium on Monday, August 26th – please plan accordingly with attire and hydration for this small change in our schedule. Our rehearsal on Thursday, August 29th will end early due to the open house.

WORTH REPEATING

Please note the attire for Friday’s Game – temperatures are near 90 with a low above 70 – we will wear shorts and show shirts. Comfortable and appropriate shoes and socks should also be worn. Guard – see information from Katie Pacifico.

Saturday’s rehearsal schedule is conditional on weather (both temperatures and precipitation) – please be prepared to be flexible, work efficiently, and assist others with equipment and logistics.

As always, please continue to keep us updated on conflicts and questions with the calendar. The band members are working hard to be prepared for their first performance on Friday – we hope to see you in the stadium for our home opener. This is just the beginning of “Lunacy” 2019!!
